Expected Outcomes
1. Existing 3,000 families adopting alternative means of livelihood any their income goes up from Rs 700 to Rs 1,200-Rs1,500
2. Community is managing flood related problems of the area in all project villages
a. Task force, at least, for information management, health management, embankment security and for conflict resolution (arising due to flood problems) formed in all villages
3. CBOs/ PRIs existing/ evolved are functional
i. Formation of Vasudeva Club in the cluster of five villages in collaboration with Junior High school and above, identified during the process
ii. Formation of Babu-Bahini Manch (BBM) in all villages
iii. Development Management Group evolved in all villages
iv. PRIs and existing CBOs (cultural committees, mahila mangal dal, yuva mangal dal etc.) are functional in disaster management
4. Community action plan is ready for disaster management in all the villages
5. Standard Operating Procedures (community based, one each cluster, for flood response, mitigation and preparedness) ready
6. Community is managing their food and fodder stocks and keeping it at safe place for emergency situation in all affected villages
7. Community is vigilant and manages department concerned to take care of embankments in all concerned villages
8. Warning system/ information management system developed for all villages
9. Enhanced response from government departments (agriculture, PDS, ICDS, FFW, Health, Rural Housing, PRI - rural sanitation, Jal Nigam, drinking water, irrigation etc.) through convergence
