Goal

Reduction in the rate of HIV infection among HRGs so as to reduce morbidity, mortality and impact of epidemic in the Gorakhpur district

Objectives

1. To cover 100 per cent HRGs in the project area with awareness on STIs/HIV prevention and services
2. To provide STI examination and counselling services to 100 per cent of HRGs through Syndromic Case Management approach at least once in a year
3. To refer 60 per cent of the targeted population in the project area to the existing government and private facilities for STI management at least once in a year
4. To promote correct and consistent usage of condoms among 100 per cent HRGs in the project area
5. To mobilise all primary and secondary stakeholders to support project activities
6. To increase community ownership of the project by ensuring at least 10 per cent community representation in the decision making process
7. To enable the formation of 2 SHGs amongst the HRGs in each TI
8. To provide counselling and/or testing services to 100 pre cent of the HRGs though ICTC (VCTC, PPTCT)
9. To provide counselling and/or testing services to 80 per cent of the clients/sexual partners of HRGs through ICTC (VCTC, PPTCT)
10. To provide lubes to 100 per cent of the MSM population
