Improving Clinical RCH Services  
 

Project Title

Improving Clinical Reproductive and Child Health Services in Pharenda Block of Maharajganj District

Goal

To provide quality family planning and reproductive health services in Pharenda block of Maharajganj district in order to improve quality of life.
Objectives

  • Increase in CPR by 7.0 per cent points
  • Complete immunization increase to 70 per cent
  • Increase in deliveries by skilled attendants including institutional deliveries to 50 per cent
  • Increase pregnant women received three ANC check-up to 75 per cent
  • Increase pregnant women received 2 doses of TT to 100 pre cent
  • Increase in pregnant women received 100 IFA tablets to 80 per cent
  • Ensuring consumption of IFA tablets twice from the existing level

Activities

  • Baseline survey
  • Coordination with Asha, ANM, VRCHC and block functionaries
  • Services through Asha
  • Immunization with help of ANM
  • Distribution of ORS packets and IFA tablets
  • IEC/awareness activities including inter-personal counseling, group meetings, wall writings and folk media
  •  Healthy Timings and Spacing Pregnancy (HTSP)
  • Referral transport
  • Contraceptive social marketing
  • Comprehensive Health and Counseling Sessions (CHACS)

Expected Outcomes

  • Increase in CPR from 25.8 per cent to 32.8 per cent
  • Complete immunization of infants (0-1) as per national immunization from 33.7 per cent to 90. Per cent
  • Increase in deliveries with skilled attendants at birth including institutional deliveries from 21.3 per cent to 50.0 per cent
  • Increase in pregnant women receiving three ANC from 34.8 per cent to 75.0 per cent
  • Increase in pregnant women receiving 100 IFA tablets from 8.3 per cent to 80.0 per cent
  • Consumption of 100 IFA tablets from 13.1 per cent to 26.2 per cent
