Gramin Seva Sansthan (GSS) is a non-governmental organisation based in Gorakhpur, one of the prominent cities in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. It is active in rural and urban areas of Gorakhpur, Maharajganj and Siddharthnagar districts.

Eastern Uttar Pradesh is among the poorest and most deprived regions of not only the state of Uttar Pradesh, but also of India. Swift flowing rivers arising in the neighbouring country Nepal wreck havoc during monsoon and flood a large area of this densely populated region. This adds to the deprivation and brings with it diseases and misery.

GSS is at present concentrating on health and HIV/AIDS, apart from other developmental issues, through a number of strategic interventions.
